Art form In General :
Calligraphy is primarily an art of curating decorative handwritten letters and words. They seem really appealing to a reader’s eyes and are aesthetically pleasing in itself. It also comprises signs which are skillfully presented. It requires a lot of practice to ace the correct stroke and curve.
Words Conveyed Through The Letters:
Surbhi wants every letter to appear beautiful, be it brush calligraphy, corporate scripting or Devanagari. There is no particular style as she keeps on exploring and experimenting with every other stroke. Many different tools are used to make those letters look aesthetic and satisfying. A lot of creation goes behind creating any piece. A thought process is necessary in order to make that particular work stand out from the rest. Letters hold an intrinsic meaning to themselves and presenting it stunningly is an art. When the art is presented well, it speaks for itself.
Inspiration That Went Into Designing Process:
According to Surbhi, letters always caught her eye and designing them became her passion. She loved writing intricately even though it was by a simple pen or brush. As our artist quotes that she was practicing calligraphy even before knowing what exactly it was and what techniques were to be used. Earlier, she just used to decorate words according to her knowledge but later she got introduced to the concept of faux calligraphy. Her ultimate goal is to make the letters look appealing and unique. Every word read or thought seems like an inspiration to her and she pens it down in every skillful way possible. Inspiration can be found every nook and corner, just a curious eye and a well practiced hand are essential.
