Art Form In General :

Ink portraits are intricate sketches of the subject and it is used to reflect their state of mind and emotions. They are detailed and sharp.

Inspirational Strokes Of Ink On Paper:

Chahat reckons that the self-portraits that she sketches are a reflection of herself and her conflicting emotions. Drawing them helps her overcome her insecurities about how she looks and is perceived. It infuses that boost of confidence in her that she is beautiful in her own way. The motive behind creating these portraits is to break the norm of beauty laid out by society and to break those prejudices set by the social media. She states that all her sketches are inspired either by events happening around her or with her. Chahat describes that her artwork is the portrayal of a battle; a battle she is fighting with herself and with others. They symbolize how she overcame every obstacle that pushed her down.

Forming A Message:

Chahat spilled a few beans on the creation process too. She shares that once her mind was running on chaotic thoughts throughout the day. To eliminate the negative thoughts, she took her pen, a sketchbook, and a mug of coffee and started expressing everything on paper. She wanted to portray what she was feeling inside onto the paper. She came up with a remarkable sketch later on. So, all she wanted to convey is that only a thought is enough for her to sketch.

Chahat’s Inked Story:

Trailing back to her childhood, Chahat displayed her inclination towards art and science. She remembers sitting down sketching for hours but that was therapeutic to her. She is a thriving artist now with a marvelous Instagram handle and website. She met new artists, learned new techniques, and was a part of renowned art communities. To sum it up, Chahat calls herself a socially awkward creative mind that likes to be on the go and expand her horizons.

As we come to the end, Chahat quotes a commendable verse, “ if you don’t believe in magic, you’ll never understand my art.” and that absolutely stands true as we glide through her artwork.
