What Inspired Her Journey?

After completing her graduation, Rathod decided to pursue her Masters while attempting the second level of CFA. Just like the plans of billions of people around the world, Covid-19 placed a hiatus on her educational schedule. Instead of beginning her academic year in June 2020, she had to plan it from June 2021. Now with this year in her hand, Rathod had two options. She could either work as an Investment banker at her previous workplace or start her career as a YouTube/Instagram Influencer.As a student, Rathod enjoyed the videos of Bankers and Investment professionals who explained complex topics easily. She always wanted to become one of them, but her academic commitments kept her engaged. Now with this newfound time in her hand, she decided to pursue her passion for video-making. Before becoming an Instagram hit, she posted different types of videos about banking and investment on YouTube for 6 months. It was in October 2020 when she started posting her content on Instagram as a Creator to increase the reach of her YouTube account.

Do Men Perform Better In Finance Than Women?

Currently, the representation of women in Finance is way lesser than expected. Rathod believes that top-tier companies have a better proportion of females than males, but at smaller levels, there are only a few women in the industry.

This made it more difficult for her to prove her worth in the industry because people found it hard to trust a woman in the field. Still, she worked harder to know twice as much as her male counterparts.

Getting a considerable fan following on Instagram has helped her in breaking the gender stereotypes in the Finance industry. With her excellence in the field and her social media reach, Anushka Rathod hopes to create a better reputation for women in Commerce around the world.
