Punjabi couple Priya and Maneet bond over food and their Instagram journal ‘foodiewithluv’ will make you hungry for more. “Slow and steady wins the race” is their mantra for growth whether in life or on social media. They specify that it took them 4 long years to gain such a huge fan following on Instagram and the trick was simple- consistent posting every day!
The couple says “Being foodies we admire restaurant specialties rather than run of the mill food and this passion for appreciating the best food among millions makes our blogging profession successful.”
Maneet: The Blogging Enthusiast Turned Blogging Genius!
Maneet is an IT professional and was living in Bangalore in 2015. From that time, Maneet formed a keen interest in reviewing restaurant food, and his go-to platform for this hobby was Zomato. Towards the end of 2015, Maneet started food blogging on WordPress and later on got onto Instagram.
Maneet believes that his hobby of food criticism should be open to the entire world and has a special message for everyone- “There is a specialty all across the world be it fashion, food or art. I notice people capturing food specialties when dining, to send it to their friends and family on Whatsapp! The same thing could be uploaded on an online platform to showcase your photography skills and your eye for recognizing the best out of all. You never know when what will click!”
He also actively reads up on food trends to create content that would excite viewers. For example, when cheese was trending, he posted a mix of cheesy food followed by the desi food trend and now during the lockdown a plethora of homemade recipes.
Priya: The Masterchef and Photo Fanatic
Priya has a natural flair of experimenting with newrecipes and is fascinated to photograph restaurant food. Maneet laughs and conveys “whenever we order food, I can’t wait to indulge in it but have to wait until Priya is done with clicking pictures.”
Priya also takes care of brand collaborations wherein the couple promotes various restaurants and brands. Her message for aspiring bloggers is to “recognize your talent and take it forward. Patience is key! We took 4 years to grow on Instagram and have more than 2 thousand posts. There were low times when the engagement was very less but at that time, we started posting more and more pictures and have now won hearts.”She is very grateful to her in-laws for constantly supporting her in this journey and Maneet comments at this heartily saying “My parents are really happy with this profession because they get yummy delicacies to eat. So it’s a win-win situation!” Priya’s most trending dishes during the lockdown are- mutter kulcha, emili ki chutney, and bread pakor
Food Makes Tuff Times Survivable!
This foodie couple is radiating love even during the lockdown time with their charismatic presence. Maneet and Priya note that during the lockdown their goal was to motivate their followers in being positive with the new normal. Priya comments “We also took some time. Maneet has never worked from home and he is now well-versed with it. Together we cook, click, eat, and post.”
Maneet and Priya are full of love, laughter, food and the best part is that they are completely ‘genuine’ on Instagram which makes it easier for followers to relate to them.
In the future, they plan to start their brand’s domain and a YouTube channel. Maneet and Priya have helped various restaurants in promotion including a restaurant they discovered in Dadar and the restaurant owner was amazed by the effect of social media.
Maneet says “We love our followers and love food; therefore, our blog’s name is ‘foodiewithluv’.
