You can’t do everything in the world, but when you understand your passion and realize what drives you, do it with full dedication, and you’ll reach new heights. It’s all about doing that one thing to your very best ability and never giving up.

Everyone’s a foodie at heart. The difference lies in the way people express it. Rishabh is a true food lover and chose to take this up as a profession. He began blogging and posting pictures of food in the early years of his college days, which became the starting point of his journey. Here we share the simple and inspiring story of Rishabh Gemini , India’s top food blogger and critique.

Growing up in a Brahmin family in Delhi, after a few difficult academic career choices, Rishabh began his B-Tech studies in full-swing. Alongside college, whenever he went out to eat with his friends or family, he started clicking pictures and made an account on Instagram for his content. Though this was a field that excited him and was keen on understanding the know-how, the lack of exposure and interaction came as a hindrance. Having seen a few examples of how food blogging is done and continuous efforts in understanding, he began the quest to ace his new venture, and there was no looking back.

Starting almost three years back in a small yet focused way, he used to click pictures with his then mobile phone and gave himself a target and, after the achievement, managed to switch to a much more sophisticated device for his work. Slowly and steadily, the work grew, and Rishabh started to gain followers and engagement from his audience, making a community of over 164k followers on Instagram.

In the initial days of starting the Instagram account with very few supporters, the struggle felt was real. It was also because of the unconventional route chosen when food blogging was new, and not many were aware of the concept. But with constant self-motivation and following a passion, success came in bright colours. In a blogger’s life, the most challenging and difficult situation is when the number of followers comes to a standstill, and the level of interaction reduces. Rishabh faced this thrice, and each time gave us learning as to how to diversify and create real solutions for better engagement. The first lesson learned from his way of coping with stagnation was to up the game and used the latest technology to drive more attention, leading to increased interaction. The second lesson learned was when it was understood that it was crucial to adapt to changes to be an influencer. It is key to diversify to keep engaging in new and fresh content at the right time for your followers. The third lesson learnt during the journey was to constantly try new and challenging work for entertaining and showcasing your audience a new side. These were few chapters in his blogging life, which helped him overcome hurdles and reach the goal of having visited over 650 cafes and restaurants in Delhi and numerous events in the country in just 3 years.

Looking back at the journey, the most real advice given my Rishabh to all the budding blogging would be to be true to the work performed and also to the audience by delivering consistent and honest content.
