An Enterprising Gem of our Generation – Shrey Arora

A business enthusiast with an entrepreneurial mindset, Shrey Arora shares his words of wisdom with us. His vast knowledge about different business models that make or break a brand has allowed him to set out on his own startup journey. Passion and positive outlook have got him this far, and he’s already looking forward to building his own company.

Shrey recalls his school days and how he was always studying and participating in numerous extracurricular activities. His relentless hard work paid off as he always topped his class and aced his exams. He credits his mother for motivating him to do his best. He also mentions being a part of many sports teams, including tennis and basketball. He firmly believes that playing sports develops a sense of discipline and teamwork, which positively impacted his own life. Coming from a family with a business background, Shrey knew that this would be his calling. He pursued engineering before getting an MBA in marketing and minoring in Operations. He remembers that his passion for business and studying different case studies developed during his MBA days. After gaining some work experience, Shrey began to build his own company.

While the lockdown hampered his progress, Shrey didn’t let that stop him. He decided to boost his startup by starting an Instagram page focused on building a community. Over here, Shrey shares stories of different brands, their marketing tactics, and strategies. These posts undoubtedly added value to many people’s lives, as in a few short months, Shrey already acquired 15k followers. His company ‘The One Healthy Snacking’ aims at positively impacting people’s lives by introducing healthier snacking alternatives. “I’ve always been a foodie; however, there weren’t many healthy snacking alternatives in the market.” Shrey noticed a shift in the market and the growing demand for health products. This is where his startup comes into the picture. He mentions details about ingredients in different snacks that people don’t know about. Interestingly, he shares that the first ingredient on the back of the package is the main ingredient that makes up for most of the snack. So, if you notice sugar as the first ingredient, then you know it’s not good for you. As someone who loves to snack, Shrey felt the need to create alternatives that would satisfy hunger without compromising on health.When asked about his biggest inspiration, Shrey talks fondly about his father. He mentions how his father changed his life for the better by practising healthy living and habits. He is inspired by his father’s discipline and punctuality and keeps pushing himself to do the same. As far as obstacles or difficulties in life go, Shrey has a very headstrong approach and always looks for solutions. He looks at the bigger picture and doesn’t let inconveniences bring him down. He also draws inspiration from a range of extraordinary personalities like Warren Buffet to Elon Musk. He follows their philosophies of practising patience and dedication.

With a clear goal in mind for his future and his company, Shrey Arora is an inspiration to young entrepreneurs everywhere. His advice to all young people is to stick to your path and stop comparing your journey to others. Some people start early and others start late, but there’s no point comparing your journey to anyone else’s.
