Hailing from Delhi, Shubhi Kapoor always had a knack for styling and fashion. She calls herself an absolute Delhiite. Ever since she was a kid, she was inclined towards fashion and all things quirky. A robust lawyer by profession, Shubhi always had the creative bug in her mind. She realized soon after that the journey will not be a cakewalk and she had to take a step to fulfill her passion-driven choices. Opting for the law was never a bad idea, states Shubhi. She elaborates by stating that pursuing law helped her inculcate critical thinking and pushed her to be opinionated. It has immensely led to her growth. Made her more aware and helped build a healthy relationship with clients.
THE INCEPTION OF DULHANAMA
Shubhi had envisioned a brand for millennial brides. The aim was to design jewelry that’s affordable yet fashionable. The basic idea was to experiment with the fun side of a wedding such as different functions such as Mehendi, Haldi, and other ceremonies wherein you can follow the age-old traditions but also craft it uniquely yours by adding a quirky element.
After contemplating the plan of action, the brand went on the floor in 2018. With customization as their motto, Shubhi led a wonderful team to success. The venture focused on the preferences of the bride, how she wants to have it on her special day.
With hustle comes challenges and the same happened with Dulhanama too. Shubhi faced a lot of setbacks in the forms of sourcing raw materials, training the workers, managing accounts, and understanding logistics. But our Ladypreneur stayed consistent and self-motivated. These two elements paved her way to the top. Now, when she looks back she feels everything she endured was worth it. Every day cannot be smooth but there’s always a tomorrow, states Shubhi.

Shubhi got all red like roses and described her unforgettable day. It was in 2018 when one day she woke up to a breathtaking article featured in the renowned Vogue Wedding that talked about her brand. It felt to her as if she was dreaming. Vogue recognized her as the Best Bridal Floral Jewellers in India. She was certainly on cloud nine. It is that day and today, she still is proud and overwhelmed about the whole scenario. She probably won’t forget it ever.
STRIKING THE RIGHT BALANCE
Maintaining a balance between personal and professional life is important. Our entrepreneur shares that the process is surely tough but you gotta do what you’ve got to do. She tries to prioritize between personal and professional life by analyzing the situation and what aspect needs more attention for the moment.
In her leisure time, Shubhi reads a lot of books and learns about spiritual practices all across the globe. She loves talking to people belonging to different cultures as this diversifies her mind and helps her gain an insight into the world and people’s thought processes. And apart from this, she loves grooving and jamming to music as it transforms her mood instantly.This marks the end of Shubhi Kapoor’s vibrant and strong tale.
