Afreen Rahat is a an Indian Actress. Recently, she got to work as a lead in a Netflix movie But, like everyone’s life, Afreen did not struggle ,God just made ways.
Since she was five years old, she was always inclined towards acting and wanted to see herself on TV. She started acting at a very early age. When she was in high school, she attended a talent hunt show in Delhi and got selected. After that achievement, she felt encouraged but didn’t know how to make it to the TV industry.
As a child, she was pampered by her parents. Because her parents are doctors, so they were more inclined to urge her more towards education than acting. Due to this, she lost many opportunities. Her Parents wanted her to do some professional course along with Acting , So she sat for the LLB and BJMC . She pursued LLB from Amity University.
The campus theatres attracted her more than the classroom lectures. Rather than focusing on studies, she enjoyed participating in fashion shows of the college. Her aspiration continued to grow inside her. Her interest in acting was being nurtured more in college. She went to audition for the Miss Delhi beauty pageant in Delhi, India and became the finalist in the year 2017 – making her parents feel proud as well.
Soon enough, she got selected for the audition of MTV’s “Date to Remember” as a contestant. There she played the role of Maya from Behad. She aced the character so well that everyone was calling her by the name of ” Maya”. A year of waiting allowed her to act in that TV reality show, where she had to stay with the other contestants locked inside a room for more than a month.The crew took the contestants’ phones away and did not let them communicate with anyone on the outside. Here the young actress says, ” I did not know that I will be locked inside a home with contestants for one and a half month”. She added, ” I told my parents that I will be in contact with you, but when I got there they took my phone, and they said that you are not allowed to talk to your parents or anyone else”. It was at this turning point that she realised how the world works. She continued to climb the ladder of success and got another reality show shortly after.
From there, her interest in working in the TV industry grew more. She got a call for working on a Netflix movie as a lead role. Here she says, ” there is a Netflix movie that I have done in the lead, but I can’t reveal about it”. She also said that she had enjoyed working with the director Nitesh Sinha.
From the B-Town, Kareena Kapoor Khan is her most favourite actress. She even told us that the way she talks in her interviews and the kind of a person she is attracts her.
